We are currently seeking a Trading Standards professional who will enjoy working in the Public Protection team, with duties including:

Investigating complaints and service demands
Interpreting and enforcing a wide range of legislation in relation to but not exclusively fraud, age restricted products, safety and intellectual property
Developing and implementing projects and initiatives based on intelligence and identified trends
Specialising in one or more work areas

Providing training to businesses and partners
Enforcing a range of legislation in relation to unfair trading practices
Enforcing the provisions of the Licensing Act
Undertaking complex investigations into breaches of consumer protection legislation, demonstrating a detailed and high level of knowledge and skill in respect of trading standards legislation, criminal court procedures, and disclosure rules
Representing the team at multi agency events, operations and meetings
