Responsibilities:

• Drive projects to move the non-compliant products into the standard stack.
• Automate the installation and configuration of standard stack items.
• Perform code review of peers.
• Establish the product backlog that require to be addressed on 2-week sprints.
• Drive backlog projects to completion with infrastructure as code approach.
• Continuous R&D and vendor engagement.
• Automate the installation to achieve Zero touch unattended deployment.
• Review all housekeeping activities and identify key processes that should be automated.
• Introduce Open-Source technologies into standard technology stack
• Design solutions that cater for enhancing operational stability.
• Address Problem tickets, Risk and Audit items in the products backlog.

Requirements:

• The candidate should have least 10 years of experience at a relevant technical position in large organizations with hands on automation knowledge
• He/ she should have good Knowledge in Linux internals (Preferable RHEL / Ubuntu)
• He/ she should have Knowledge in Windows internals
• He/ she should have understanding in DevOps / SRE, IaC and 12 Factor Principles
• He/ she should have Excellent hands-on experience in configuration management, orchestration and IaC tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform)
• He/ she should have Strong understanding of Virtualization Technologies (KVM / Libvirt / oVirt / KubeVirt. OVM, Openstack)
• He/ she should have Strong understanding of Software Defined Storage Technologies (CEPH, GlusterFS)
• He/ she should have Strong understanding of Repository and Artifact management Tools (Red Hat Satellite, Spacewalk, Nexus)
• He/ she should have Strong understanding of Container Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
• He/ she should have Strong understanding of ELK and its beats (Auditbeat, FileBeat)
• He/ she should have Strong understanding of OS Compliance Policies (CIS Benchmark)
• He/ she should have Solve occurring problems and create solutions and automation to prevent them from happen again.
• He/ she should have Conceptual understanding about infrastructure and how it works
• He/ she should have Knowledge about API communications (Rest/Soap), developing a new consumer/publisher for any API
• He/ she should have Strong understanding of troubleshooting. Deep dive to an issue, read logs, track the clues and identify the problems.
