Phlebotomists are medical professionals who work in medical labs, taking blood samples from patients and adequately labeling them with their information. They conduct a wide range of tests to identify underlying conditions to assist Doctors with diagnosis and patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identifies the patient – comparing patient information on the requisition to the patient’s identification before venipuncture is performed.
• Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently.
• Demonstrates complete knowledge about order of draw protocol, which blood tube to use and the volume of blood needed – knows test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed.
• Responsible for, blood cultures, blood samples collection and looks after the blood collection room requirements and maintains cleanliness and decorum of blood collection rooms.

Job Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing/ Medical Laboratory Technology
• At least two (2) years of Medical Laboratory experience/nursing experience  especially in the field of phlebotomy.
• Currently licensed in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi UAE.
• Ability to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to satisfy client and organizational requirements.
