  • Manage venue planning teams in ensuring all operations are integrated and striving for excellence in delivering seamless operations;
  • Support in the development of policies and procedures specific to the Venue Management Functional Area;
  • Create operational efficiencies through innovative and integrated processes and service design;
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to improve venue and event operations;
  • Support Venue Management projects as required.
  • In the Pre-Operational Phase, Venue Planning Managers will be responsible for supporting the following key priority areas which include but are not limited to:
  • Developing and Integrating operating plans and associated documentation for the future management of a Venue and subsequent spaces within;
  • Engaging and coordinating Venue stakeholders (Venue Owner, Real Estate & Delivery, Expo Internal Functions and Departments) in detailed operational planning to ensure Venue plans and teams are seamlessly integrated;
  • Work with the Site Management and Real Estate & Development (RE&D) teams supporting the transition from construction to operation;
  • Work with the Venue Management Readiness team in conducting operational exercises and test events.


  • 6+ years’ experience in a senior role working on a previous major event program or leisure attraction with specific experience related to Venue Management and putting the Guest Experience at the heart of decision making and service design;
  • Bachelors degree within relevant field;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Program or project manager experience supporting large complex projects;
  • Knowledge across all key event operational functions, understanding the Venue Operations dependencies with the other operational departments;
  • Experience in working in a multi-cultural organisation, GCC region desirable;
  • Experience in building teams and enhancing/developing them ready for operations;
  • Designing service levels against predefined services, and planning transition to operations;
  • Ability to build a network across Expo teams and key external stakeholders;
  • Ability to collaborate and integrate well with other business functions.
