1- Regional Head of Air Freight
Job: Full Time
Location: Dubai, UAE

Description:

Reporting to the IMEA Regional Head of Supply chain & Logistics, this role will be responsible to help advance and execute the overall Maersk Air strategy to achieve sustainable profitable growth within the respective region. Formal leadership duties that include multiple teams and groups and serve as a lead to peers or other roles on a formal or informal basis

Job Responsibilities:

  • Align the Air Product objectives/targets (Sales to support/enable the Air Freight business line targets). Act as a Product expert in front of customers, guide/support Sals eo sell the right type of business to the right destinations
  • Responsible for Air strategy implementation throughout the region. Accountable for procurement in the gateway. Responsible for identifying procurement leverage across region and supporting procurement within the Areas, for relationship management with preferred partners on a Regional level.
  • Support Air Product development of customer specific solutions pertaining to the region network (Expertise role)
  • Define region pricing approach in line with global strategy, accountable for the regions RFQ pricing, for the spot pricing above the defined threshold as well as for aligning the local pricing with the regional pricing desk and supporting the local pricing activities if required

Job Requirements:

  • Substantial people leadership experience with a proven track-record of selecting and coaching professionals.
  • Proven track record of adding value to the business through business partnering.
  • Comprehensive insight on global supply chain development
  • Abundant and expertise Air product knowledge and experience
