We have partnered with a leading mobile commerce company, who are building out a digital entertainment platform who are looking for a Global Head of Technical Services to join the Dubai team. In this role, you will oversee three regional organizations as well as manage engineering teams across Europe, MENA & SSA. You will work closely with the services sales teams to identify, qualify and establish new managed services solutions

Responsibilities:

  • – Manage three regional teams- 40 engineers and growing
  • – Develop technical solution architecture and assists sales team to build an overall win strategy
  • – Train and coach future engineering leaders
  • – Perform technical and business requirement gathering from various stakeholders in the customer environment
  • – Present RFP responses to clients and demonstrate the company’s differentiated value proposition
  • – Have regular 1:1s with the team and make sure there is a good and honest communication channel with people about great feedback and areas of improvement

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of hands-on software development
  • Strong knowledge of current Java technologies (Java 8, Spring Boot) and Apache infrastructure technologies as well as database technologies like MySQL, MongoDB and Redis
  • Knowledge of latest front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML 5) and server-side JavaScript (node.js, TypeScript) is desirable
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies such as Azure and AWS and relevant compliance (security, GDPR)
    Experience designing and operating solutions within microservice-based architecture
  • Experience designing and delivering secure fail-safe systems and architecture
  • Expert in API development, integration, cloud and server-side technologies, identity and authentication solutions
  • 5+ years leading highly technical and high-performing engineering teams
