Description:

Fashion coordinators produce fashion shows and other promotional vehicles for companies and designers. Some are responsible for a particular department, for example, men’s apparel, while others may oversee the promotion of the entire apparel and accessories line.

Responsibilities:

• Devise efficient fashion design plans and foster new fashion concepts
• properly coordinate advertising as well marketing activities
• regularly monitor fashion publications and set meetings with designers to keep up with the changing trend
• evaluate the potential success of a certain clothing line
• coordinate with salespeople, designers and manufacturers
• select garments and accessories that will be used for promotional marketing
• organize photo shoots, magazine events
• share fashion insights and analysis with buyers to help them choose the appropriate inventory purchases

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Fashion Design or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in product design environment
• Strong computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change and with urgency and persistence
