Key responsibilities

  • Pitch and contribute weekly features for Gault&Millau UAE on a variety of themes, in formats such as news, guides, interviews, trend analysis and listicles.
  • Meet weekly deadlines for content submission, filing copy that is clean, well-structured and thoroughly fact-checked.
  • Contribute ideas to a weekly, monthly and annual content calendar.
  • Ensure editorial standards are met, all relevant copyrights have been cleared, content is optimised for SEO and content meets local and legal guidelines.
  • Have a strong network of contacts to reach out to for comment, insight and analysis on Gault&Millau feature themes.
  • Have a strong understanding and knowledge of the local culinary scene, global trends and talking points.

Personal attributes and essential skills

  • Experienced writer or journalist with a strong background in writing on food and beverage themes.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, and respond proactively to feedback.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and social media best practice.
